Itinerary

Morning Pick-Up (5:00 AM)

  • Your safari starts with a 5:00 AM pick-up from your hotel.
  • Complimentary pick-up is available from hotels in the Minneriya area and nearby towns such as Habarana, Sigiriya, and Dambulla.
  • Hop into our luxurious safari jeep and begin your journey toward Minneriya National Park.

Arrival at Minneriya National Park Ticket Office (Around 5:45 AM)

  • Upon reaching the park’s entrance, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase your entry tickets at the park ticket office.
  • Our guide will assist you with ticketing and any other arrangements needed.

Entering Minneriya National Park (6:00 AM)

  • Enter the park at around 6:00 AM to catch the early morning wildlife activities.
  • The vast open spaces around the Minneriya Reservoir offer the perfect setting to spot herds of elephants and other wildlife like sambar deer, water buffalo, and exotic birds.

Wildlife Exploration and Elephant Gathering

  • Your guide will lead you through the park’s top wildlife-viewing areas, where you’ll have the chance to witness the famed Elephant Gathering, as well as encounters with other species like leopards and sloth bears (if you’re lucky).
  • Depending on your chosen package, you’ll either enjoy a half-day or full-day experience:
    • Half-Day Safari: A wildlife-filled morning tour that concludes at 11:00 AM.
    • Full-Day Safari: Explore the park until 4:00 PM, allowing you more time to discover the rich wildlife of Minneriya.

  • Breakfast: Around 9:00 AM, pause for a delicious breakfast amidst the scenic beauty of the park.
