After a leisurely morning in Ella, around 10:30 AM, we will depart from your hotel and head towards Udawalawe National Park. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to marvel at the magnificent Rawana Waterfall, also known as Ravana Ella, one of Sri Lanka's widest falls. Cascading from an oval-shaped rock outcrop, this natural wonder stands approximately 25 meters (82 feet) tall and is located just 6 kilometers from the city of Ella.
Following a delicious lunch, scheduled for around 2:00 PM, you'll embark on an exciting safari adventure in Udawalawe National Park. Sit back and relax in a comfortable safari jeep, accompanied by a knowledgeable driver, as you explore the diverse landscapes and wildlife habitats of this renowned park. Udawalawe National Park spans across the Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, offering sanctuary to a variety of wildlife, including the majestic Sri Lankan elephant and numerous water bird species.
Covering an expansive area of 30,821 hectares (119.00 sq mi), Udawalawe was established in 1972 to protect the catchment of the Udawalawe Reservoir and provide a safe haven for displaced wild animals.
